Once upon a not-so-spooky Halloween night, a retired circus clown named Bubbles ditched his usual colorful outfit, opting for a flamboyantly red vampire costume. To get into his role, he traded his squishy red nose for a set of vampiric fangs and a dandy cloak. The neighborhood kids buzzed with anticipation as they watched him transform in his rusted carnival wagon.
An hour into the trick or treating frenzy, a plump little boy dressed as a doughnut approached Bubbles with wide eyes. If you were to ask, it was clear the boy anticipated a fright of a lifetime. Bubbles roared and sprang into his best vampiresque post. However, bursting with laughter, the boy clutched his belly instead of screaming!
Bubbles blinked, surprised at the unintended comedy. The irony fell like a pumpkin pie in his face and he couldn’t help but chuckle. Bubbles, the vampire, stripped of his horror, wasn’t a villain anymore, but a Halloween goof.
In the end, terror took a backseat while laughter echoed on throughout Halloween night. It seemed, for one night at least, the world had one more clown, and one less vampire.
Remember folks, sometimes, it’s an advantage being bad at something. Surprisingly, Bubbles had the best Halloween of his life!
