“The Forbidden Attic of Miss Maple: A Halloween Hoax”

Once upon a time, in a quaint small town lived an elderly woman named Miss Maple. Every Halloween, she spent countless hours decorating her eerie, ancient mansion. This was no ordinary decoration, it breathed life into the spooky spirit of Halloween.

Children from surrounding towns flocked there, eager to explore her haunted mansion, braving the terrifying tricks she had up her sleeve. But there was a rule: “You can roam around but the attic is forbidden”. The legend said, it was haunted by her pet – a grumbling ghoul named Gargoyle.

One Halloween night, a pair of mischievous twins named Tom and Jerry, dared to venture into the forbidden attic. As they climbed the rickety stairs, they heard the ghoul’s notorious growl. They laughed, shook it off, pushing each other to open the door. The room was eerily silent, shrouded in darkness. Suddenly, a grotesque shape emerged, growling louder!

All panicked, they fled downstairs and barged into Miss Maple. Eyes wide with horror they stammered, “Miss Maple, Gargoyle….he…”. Breaking into laughter, she said “My dears, meet Gargoyle” and lifted her cloak to reveal…a chubby, one-eyed pug, wearing a microphone round his neck. “His growl gets scarier each year!” she snickered, turning off the microphone.

And that’s how Miss Maple’s Halloween hoax made history in their tiny town!
