Title: The Wicked Prank of Cobbler’s Mansion

Once upon a chilling Halloween night, a curious group of youngsters decided to explore the infamous Cobbler’s Mansion on Creeper’s Lane. It was a derelict house and abandoned for decades, with stories of eerie occurrences echoing among the townsfolk.

The brave explorers stepped through the creaking gates, their hearts pounding like a sledgehammer, but their spirits were unbroken. They tiptoed up the crumbling stairs, pushing the heavy door open. Cobwebs rained down from the ceiling like old lace, causing them to flinch and laugh nervously.

Suddenly, the air turned frosty, a chilling wind swept their feet, and cackling laughter echoed through the halls. Heartbeat thundering, they turned to find a glowing figure of an elderly man, his face twisted in a wicked grin. Recognizing the ghastly apparition as the original cobbler, the children screamed as if auditioning for an opera.

Just as they turned to run, the cobbler interrupted, his voice filled with amusement. “It’s just a trick! I’m no ghost; I’m just the caretaker!” He pulled off a glowing cloth draped over a lantern and collapsed into laughter. The children paled in mortification at being pranked by an old man, making it the most memorable Halloween of their childhood!

And from that day forward, the children of the town held a healthy degree of skepticism, and perhaps, an ounce of respect for the whimsical ‘ghost’ of the Cobbler’s Mansion.
