Once upon an eerie Halloween night, clever Ben decided to go on an adventurous scare hunt in the weather-beaten Molder Mansion. He bravely armed himself with just a pumpkin-shaped flashlight.
As he ventured into the decrepit mansion, he felt a sudden gust of wicked wind whip around him. Ben glimpsed a hauntingly familiar face emerging from a mottled mirror on the wall. Yikes, it was the mansion’s notorious resident ghost!
The ghost giggled at Ben’s startled expression and continued to materialize into a surprisingly jolly figure. Bent on the scare, Ben didn’t back down; he determinedly raised his flashlight and… boop, turned off the light hoping to surprise the ghost.
Silence. Then, an astonished, “Oh my, you really spooked me there!” echoed. When he turned on his flashlight again, all that was left of the ghost was an echoing chuckle and a warm compliment. Feeling oddly elated, Ben exited the mansion with a satisfied grin.
Back at home, when he switched on his flashlight again, he saw a note mysteriously taped on it, “Congratulations! You are the first mortal to scare me. Signed, Casper.”
It turns out that on this Halloween, the tables had turned, and the hunter had become the hunted!
