“The Unlucky Redemption: A Tale of Ghostly Wishes”

“Bad luck Bob,” was always the unlucky one. On a Halloween night, as a gruesome gale gnashed outside his rickety old house, he found an ancient bottle lying in his attic. In careless curiosity, he popped the cork out of its top.

POOF! There appeared a spectral ghost, her eyes clear as crystal. “Three wishes, in return for my freedom,” she proposed.

Bob, having a heart as big as a bear and seeing her plight, immediately wished the ghost free. With a sigh of relief and a smile, she vanished. But then Bob scratched his head, ‘Wait wasn’t I supposed to get two more wishes?’.

Years passed with Bob stumbling clumsily through life. Another Halloween was to come, Bob found himself walking the deserted street, with the only company of his multifarious thoughts and shadows. Suddenly, he heard his name in the wind. Turning around, there was no-one but a small old man who handed him two coins.

“Your last two wishes,” He said. Before Bob could react, the old man disappeared leaving him with two gold coins. Astonished Bob realized, good luck had finally knocked on his door all because of the ghost he released. Because remember, even in misfortune or ‘by being a bad luck bob’, one can find their luck, if only they’d looked more closely!
