Once upon a time, in the cobblestone-laid town of Grimsby, decorations were being hatched from closets, each more macabre than the next. The air was filled with chilling whispers of Halloween.
Old Widow Morris, believed by everyone to be a witch, rarely left her creaky mansion. But that never stopped children from daring each other to sneak a peek within on Halloween. For that, a legendary candy stash awaited the brave.
This particular Halloween, a courageous boy named Danny decided to take the challenge. He tiptoed through the mansion, guided only by the eerie light of a flickering pumpkin. The candy was just within his reach when he heard a creak behind him.
“Hello, Danny,” a voice floated out eerily from the shadow. It was Widow Morris! Danny stammered and tried to apologize, but she raised a hand, silencing him. “Take the candy,” she said, with a horrid grin.
Relieved, Danny thanked her and dashed out to his awaiting friends. But as he shared the candies, they all transformed into… fun-size candy-bars! The whispering wind seemed to carry a cackling laugh, “You see, my spell isn’t wicked… it’s wickedly witty!”
And this taught everyone that not all that is creepy, like Widow Morris and her mansion, needs to be feared. Sometimes, it’s just magic, fun-size!
