Once upon a midnight dreary, in a quaint town, lived a boy named Rory. On Halloween, Rory was always daring, daunting the spirits with festive flairing.
One annual visit was to old lady Crisp’s manor, a dilapidated dwelling that filled the bravest heart with utter terror. With weeds taking over and tattered curtains whispering ghost tales, this was no place for frail sons like Rory. Yet every year, wearing a brave smile, he knocked on that creaky door.
On this particular Halloween night, the door creaked open to reveal old lady Crisp in a ghostly white light. In a hushed voice, she handed Rory a strange-looking candy, her fingers as thin as spider webs. “Eat on All Hallow’s Daybreak,” she whispered.
Excited by this new adventure, Rory sprinted home. As dawn broke, he remembered the peculiar candy. Upon biting into it, his body shivered, undergoing a transformation. In the mirror, he noticed his face had turned orange, with the edges painted green!
From then on, Rory’s Halloween adventures took a strange twist. He became the town’s favorite Jack-o-Lantern, lighting up children’s faces every year. And that, my dear friends, is why you should never eat a strange candy on Halloween!
