“Ghosts of Halloween Past: The Haunting of Marvin, Lucas, and Sue”

On a cold Halloween night, a group of friends; Marvin, Lucas and Sue, decided to explore the ancient cemetery on the edge of their quaint little town. The moon was a haunting spectacle, casting eerie shadows across the land.

They walked past countless tombstones, the wind coming alive with whispers of the dead. Suddenly, Lucas noticed a peculiar tombstone – it was his own name engraved. He convinced himself it was a bizarre coincidence, hid his fright and continued down the bone-chilling path.

Turning a corner, they stumbled upon an abandoned crypt. Too curious to resist, they pushed the rusty door open. Their icons wavered in the darkness. Turning back was not an option now, their inherent audacity propelled them forward.

Inside the crypt, they discovered an old photograph of three kids. It bore an uncanny resemblance to them. The inscription on the back of the photograph read: “Marvin, Lucas & Sue, best friends forever, Halloween 1894.”

Shocked and stunned, they turned to exit. There, in front of the crypt, was the new, fresh gravestone they had missed earlier. It read: “Here Rest Marvin, Lucas & Sue, best friends forever, lost to time, Halloween 1894.” The realization was as sudden as it was horrifying- they were the ghosts they sought.
