The Midnight Trickster
Philippa loved Halloween. It was her favorite time of the year. She relished the thrill of decorating her house with spooky pumpkins, eerie cobwebs, and chilling screams coming from her ancient radio.
On the eve of Halloween, Philippa noticed a shadowy figure who appeared on her porch every midnight. It ghoulishly laughed and disappeared, leaving behind a peculiar pumpkin. Phillipa carefully observed, its smile was wicked, more wicked her own decorations.
Halloween finally arrived. As midnight approached, the figure appeared, howling with laughter. This time, it took off its hood and Philippa gasped. It was her grumpy neighbor, Old man Harley, who despised Halloween.
To everyone’s surprise, Old man Harley with a grinning face announced, “Everyone loves your creative decorations, Philippa. So, I thought, how about adding a bit of real spookiness in Halloween? Consider these pumpkins as a small Halloween contribution from my side.”
And that Halloween, Philippa and Old man Harley won the title of the “Most Spooky Halloween Decorators” in their neighborhood. The two most unlikely allies delivering the biggest shocker of a Halloween treat!
