Title: “The Sweet Surprise of the Haunted House”

Once there was a haunted house. It was said that every Halloween, an estranged figure would appear, strolling along the hallways. On such a night, a group of brave teenagers decided to challenge the tale. Dressed in their Halloween costumes, they mustered up the courage and entered the abode.

The house was drowning in darkness, the only light was from an oddly glowing pumpkin resting on an antique table. As they explored the dingy rooms, a chilling wind passed, making the old wooden floors creak and groan. The teenagers stood their ground, heartbeats racing.

Suddenly, a tall figure draped in a white sheet appeared. The teenagers gasped, backing against the wall. The figure led them to an old wooden chest. With shaking hands, they opened it. Inside was the ultimate Halloween revelation, a mountain of candy, more than they could ever consume!

The figure threw back the sheet, revealing the teenager’s next-door neighbor, Old Man Jenkins. He chuckled, “Happy Halloween! Now you see, not all that’s haunted is scary. Some surprises can be quite sweet.”

In our story, the haunted shack wasn’t a place of fright, but a storehouse of delights. After all, who said all ghost stories need to have a ghastly ending?
