Once upon a very strange Halloween, there was a quaint little town known for its pumpkins. Undeniably the star of the night was Miss Oldythe Potion, a frumpy and eccentric aunt who never missed a Halloween parade. Her costume this year? A purple witch donned with polka-dotted socks, a head-turner indeed!
Around the corner of the evening, a hustle of panic rose amongst the crowd. The grand pumpkin, the centerpiece of the town’s Halloween festivities, was missing! The festival couldn’t proceed without it! Suddenly, Miss Oldythe hobbled forward, muttering a ‘pumpkin spell’, as onlookers watched with bated breath.
With a grand flourish and a wiggle of her chunky fingers, she replaced the stolen pumpkin, with an even bigger, and more magnificent one. It was the moment of sheer triumph, not just for Miss Oldythe, but also for the entire town! However, a real spin-tingler was yet to come!
The following morning, on cleaning the grandstand, folks discovered – much to their surprise – their venerable pumpkin was no pumpkin at all. It was Miss Oldythe’s oversized, orange handbag!
