Title: “The Sweet Old Candy Lady’s Halloween Trick”

Once upon a time in the quaint town of Shadowgrove, kids were preparing for the festival of Halloween. In a small, rickety house lived an old woman, renowned for giving out the rarest of candies. The daring ones amongst the trick-or-treaters trekked by her place, yearning for her surprise treats.

Moving shadows and chilling whispers surrounded her home. Bravely, the kids knocked on the door. The door creaked open and there she stood. Her wrinkled face broke into a warm smile as she handed out her magical surprises, leaving the children in awe.

And thus, each Halloween, the kids, armed with their spooky costumes and braveness, visited the old woman’s haunted house. However, this time something was different. Her house was silent with no floating shadows, no whispers… nothing.

Confused, the kids stepped inside. The house was devoid of the usual eerie aura, replaced by something unfamiliar. The room was filled with laughter, balloons, and streamers. Panicked, they exited the house only to find the old lady grinning, holding a sign that read: “Sometimes, the scariest thing on Halloween is… no scares at all.”

That night, the children discovered the truth. The haunted house was just another trick, born from the Halloween spirit of the sweet old candy lady.
