Once upon a Halloween night, in the small town of Pumpkin Patch, lived a mischievous black cat named Binx. His favorite game was tricking the villagers with his catty antics. On Halloween, he loved to hide and leap out scaring the adults collecting treats, their screams of fright, scraps of candy dropping; Binx’s unique way of trick or treating.
Every year the town hosted the Great Pumpkin Carving Contest. This particular year, Binx couldn’t resist meddling with the grand prize pumpkin. As the sun set, he climbed atop. Just as Binx dug his claws in, a flash of light enveloped him. Suddenly, Binx was inside the pumpkin!
With a devilish grin, he realized his new circumstance. He scared the gleeful villagers even more from his orange fortress, popping his head out, causing shivers and dropped candies. But as the night waned, Binx got tired. His powerful pumpkin yawns echoing through the night.
The last trick-or-treater, a little girl named Lisa, approached the pumpkin. With a kind heart, she offered her special wish coin stating, “Every Halloween needs a Jack-o’-lantern.” She dropped it inside. Imagine her surprise when out leaped not a ghost, but Binx himself!
Everyone laughed as Binx, no longer trapped, frolicked around. Lisa, with her wit and kindness, had given Pumpkin Patch the best Halloween trick and an unforgettable cat-out-of-the-pumpkin surprise!
