Once upon a time, in a snug little town, rested an old, eerie mansion, abandoned for years. Each Halloween night, the town’s children dared each other to knock on its colossal wooden door. Young Timmy, a boy with a mischievous grin, took the challenge this Halloween.
He crept up the cobblestone path, gathering enough courage to pound on the ancient door. Suddenly, the door creaked open on its own and Timmy stepped inside. He noticed a scrumptious, gleaming Halloween candy laid out on a spectral silver platter. Overwhelmed with greed, Timmy dived into the pile.
The candies morphed into slimy worms in his hands; the shimmering lights flickered out leaving Timmy in pitch black. Scary laughter echoed around, making his heart pound faster. Bracing himself, he yelled, “Who are you?”
Promptly, a luminous figure popped up and said, “I am Casper, the overly-friendly ghost. I merely added some Halloween spirit with my magic tricks!” Timmy chuckled too, relieved and amused. This was indeed a Halloween night he would never forget!
