“The Midnight-Halloween-Scare: A Hauntingly Fun Bash at MacAllisters’ House”

It was a chilly Halloween night when the MacAllisters decided to throw a heart-thumping, monster bash. Their rickety old house was decorated from gutters to basement with spider webs, laughing skulls, wandering witches and creaking coffins.

Invitations had been sent to everyone on Peachwood Street, but as they drew closer to the haunted house, murmurs circulated about strange, nebulous figures lurking around the mossy garden.

The party kicked off with gusto, people were dancing, the punchbowl was mysteriously bubbling and the petrified pumpkin-cake seemed to come alive with its marzipan eyes spinning in the dimkey lighting.

As midnight chimed, ghostly moans and clanks echoed through the old house. Party-goers glanced nervously at each other. Suddenly, the room turned icy cold and an apparition appeared. Cries of terror filled the air and in a flash, everyone was scampering into the chilly night, leaving the house eerily quiet.

Back inside, the ‘apparition’, Mrs. MacAllister, ripped off her ghostly garb and started laughing. She winked at Mr. MacAllister, holding a voice-amplifier. The Midnight-Halloween-Scare was their annual segment of throwing the spookiest parties in town. And just like every year, they nailed it with a BANG that no one saw coming!
