One magical Halloween night, a shooting star blazed across the sky. Simon, clenching his straw-filled hands, wished for one night of real life fun. Suddenly, the ordinary scarecrow began to transform. His straw body grew muscles and his button eyes transformed into twinkling bright blue. Simon was no longer a scarecrow, but a charming lad.
He danced, laughed, and feasted through the night, charming the townsfolk and winning the coveted prize of ‘Best Costume’. But as the clock struck midnight, he felt a familiar stiffness coursing through his veins. Fear flickered in his blue eyes as he staggered towards the pumpkin patch.
When the townsfolk woke up the next day, they found a handsome scarecrow placed atop the pumpkin patch, wearing a ribbon that read ‘Best Costume.’ They still speak of the charming lad who vanished, leaving behind the most charismatic scarecrow they had ever seen, entirely unaware it was Simon all along!
