Once upon a Halloween, in the tiny town of Spooksvale lived a group of villagers who loved to scare each other. After all, isn’t that what Halloween was all about?
At dusk, kids in ghostly attires would flit about the sidewalks, their laughter mixing with the eerie night’s theme. Adult parties echoed the streets, the participants thrilling one another with ghastly tales and creepy tricks.
However, one Halloween, the residents of Spooksvale got more than they bargained for. Old granny Smith’s house started to float! Yes, you heard right. Her entire house! It drifted slowly above the ground, windows glowing with green light, sending panicky gasps through the crowd.
Just as panic arose within Spooksvale, the house descended gently, and who should step out but granny Smith herself! She looked completely unconcerned, like her house floating was the most natural thing in the world. “Was this the ultimate Halloween spectacle?” panted the villagers.
“Of course not,” chuckled granny Smith, tapping her floating umbrella, reminiscent of Mary Poppins. It turned out granny Smith liked playing tricks just as much as everyone else. From that Halloween onward, Spooksvale knew no Halloween would be complete without a spectacle from granny Smith!
