Legend holds that there was a pint-sized pumpkin named Pippin, who inhabited the outskirts of Pumpkinville. Every Halloween, Pippin would come alive in a mysterious, mesmerizing way. He was brought to life by an aged witch’s incantation who lived on the other side of the rusted iron gates of the town.
One Halloween, Pippin decided to play a prank. He lay in wait in the pumpkin patch as usual. The kids of Pumpkinville trooped in, effervescing with Halloween spirit and anticipating the annual miracle. Right at the stroke of midnight, Pippin burst into a dazzling light show illuminating the entire patch while at the same flipping upside down to unveil his scary form that had all the children screaming in terror and excitement.
Just as the children thought it was all part of the Halloween fun, the real twist happened. Pippin, instead of turning back into a mere pumpkin, transformed into an enormous lollipop! The aged witch’s incantation went awry – she was actually trying a new candy making spell! The Halloween horror turned into a sweet surprise. This trick turned into a treat and Pippin, well he was always at the heart of Halloween in Pumpkinville!
