One Halloween night, in the humble town of Hallowville, something peculiar was brewing. The pumpkin king, Polito, an enormous pumpkin residing atop the town’s courthouse tower, developed an eerie glow. People watched in awe and fright, its familiar smile now a wicked grin.
Meanwhile, Mr. Murdoch Milkmop, the town’s most skeptical inhabitant, scoffed at the idea of a haunted pumpkin. He decided to venture the tower for a closer inspection. The townsfolk held their breath as the tower’s ancient wooden door creaked open.
Upstairs in the tower, Mr. Milkmop, armed only with his candle-lit lantern, confronted the source of the uncanny glow. “Ghostly pumpkins indeed!” he jeered, preparing to debunk the mystery. But as his hand approached Polito, a jolt of energy pushed him back.
Scared out of his wits, Mr. Milkmop rushed downstairs, declaring, “The Pumpkin King rules indeed!” The townsfolk looked at him astonished, their skeptic now a believer. But there was laughter from the back, and out came young Maggie, lantern in one hand, a big remote controller on another. It was all her mischievous play! The town erupted in laughter, learning a valuable lesson, the mystery of the Halloween night always holds a trick or a treat!
