“The Haunting of Netherby Hall: A Ghost’s Halloween Surprise”

Once upon a Halloween night, in the old hamlet of Netherby Hall, lived a cheeky ghost named Graham. This chatty spectre was known more for his practical jokes than his eerie demeanor.

On this special night, he planned his masterpiece. He’d trip trick or treaters, rattle windows, nothing harmful, just mischievous delights.

Suddenly, lights flickered on at the deserted manor which was odd, as nobody would dare step foot there except for Graham. He saw a group of kids, costumes covering their faces, headed his way. To his surprise, they were cheerful, not an ounce of fear in them.

He tried his usual antics, but instead of running away, these children laughed, feeling amused. Graham grew exasperated, then inspiration hit. He’d give them a ghastly grimace they’d remember forever.

Gathering his courage, Graham revealed himself. His ectoplasmic face distorted in a spine-chilling grimace, he leapt forward. The children shrieked…. with laughter.

As they took off their masks and revealed their ghostly faces radiating spectral light, they chuckled, “Thought you’re the only ghost prankster here, Graham?” Betraying the Halloween twist, the kids of Netherby were notorious Halloween-loving spirits themselves!

And that’s how Graham found out, for a successful Halloween terror, even a ghost needn’t be alone in his hilarity!
