“The Phantom of Hollowsville: A Halloween Door Knob Jiggle Tale”


As Halloween approached, a mischievous ghost named Oscar loved to jiggle door knobs to frighten the town folks of Hollowsville. Every year, they expect the door knob jiggle, it became Hollowsville’s well-known Halloween tradition. Yet, this year, Oscar had a more spine-chilling plan.

In the heart of Hollowsville stood an ancient, ominous water tower. Rumors had it that it was haunted by a formidable phantom. Hushed whispers spread among the townsfolk; this year, Oscar would dare to awaken the phantom!

Halloween night arrived, Oscar floated swiftly towards the water tower. The town was in anxious anticipation. As Oscar neared the tower, a petrifying creak rang through the silent night. The town gasped, Oscar shook, but it was too late to turn back.

With a trembling effort, Oscar phazed through the iron door of the water tower. Suddenly, the tower echoed with a thunderous laughter, a laughter that shook the entire town. Oscar shot out of the tower like a scared bullet. The phantom metamorphosed behind him into a cheerful glow and vanished.

As dawn broke, Oscar was found near his favorite door, with a mortified expression. However, there was a twist; this year, Oscar hadn’t jiggled the door knobs, he was too scared to do so! And guess what? The whole town had an uproarious laugh and that definitely became the new Hollowsville’s Halloween tradition.
