Once upon a chilling Halloween night, in the spookiest corner of a dinky town, lay a peculiar mansion feared by all. None dared to approach it; tales of its ghostly inhabitant were legendary.
Year after year, two daring lads, both named Jacob, made a pact to defy the fable and knock on the mansion door at midnight. Clad in their bravest Halloween costumes, the duo trudged forward, hearts pounding loudly. The ghoulish mansion loomed before them.
Reaching the main door, they raised their trembling hands and knocked thrice. A deafening echo screamed back at them. Suddenly, the towering door flung open. Standing there was a ghost! Or rather someone looking exactly like a ghost, draped in a cheap costume from head to toe.
The ghost stared at them, then shrieked, “Boo!” The boys screamed and ran away. The ghost, however, collapsed into laughter. As he pulled off the faux ghost costume, whom did we behold but the ‘other’ Jacob! It was all a scheme to spice up their Halloween.
The phrase “Scared the life out of them” acquired a whole new meaning that Halloween night in the tiny town, thanks to Jacob the ‘ghost’ and his wicked sense of humor.
