Once upon a time in a sleepy little town named Sleepville, there was an old mansion known only as ‘Creaky Manors’. It was believed to be haunted, with strange noises emanating from it every Halloween night.
Nobody had ventured in for over 50 years, that is, until Sam – a brave, young and maybe slightly foolish lad – decided to explore Creaky Manors.
Halloween night, armed with a flashlight and a heart full of courage, Sam tiptoed his way through the derelict manor. Cobwebs glistened, shadows lurked, and eerie whispers filled the cold, musty air.
All of a sudden, a bone-chilling scream reverberated through the building. Dropping his flashlight, Sam shrieked and stumbled towards the door. But the door…vanished! Racing for the window, he spotted something utterly shocking through the flickering candlelight.
In his haste, he’d knocked over a large ancient mirror, revealing behind it a dusty old quilting club. The ‘ghosts’ of Creaky Manors were in fact, a passionate group of elderly ladies, trapped in time, indulging in their favorite pastime!
So remember folks, when you hear a ghostly ‘Boo!’, it may be nothing more than a dusty old quilting crew!
