Once upon a time, in a creaky mansion situated on Spook Hill, lived a slapstick duo, Ghostly Gus and Sneaky Sam, who loved to throw spontaneous Halloween parties. Every year, they planned a fantastic trick to keep the guests on their toes. This Halloween was no exception!
As the clock struck midnight, a thunderous knock echoed through the halls. “Oops! Must be our late guest,” chuckled Gus, floating towards the door. To everyone’s shock, a tall, ominous figure, draped in a tattered cloak, stepped in. He removed his hood revealing an eerie skull-face, scaring everyone witless!
Gus and Sam couldn’t contain their laughter as they watched everyone cower. However, something seemed amiss. The figure refused to break character, speaking only in moans and grunts. The spectral duo grew uncertain. Was this a prankster out-pranking them or a real skeleton?
As the night grew more eerie, Gus finally mustered courage to confront the figure. He removed the cloak, revealing not a skeleton, but their old friend, Laughing Larry, underneath!
The room burst into laughter as Larry rattled off his silly skeleton jokes, ending with the punniest one, “Why didn’t the skeleton fight the vampire? He didn’t have the guts!”
And this time, the joke was on Gus and Sam.
