Once upon a time, in a small town, the townsfolk reveled in the Halloween preparations. Every doorstep sported carved, grinning pumpkins, and every shop window was dripping with cobwebs and cornstalks.
In the thick of it all, was a quaint little house that was never part of the festivity. The house belonged to Miss Marion, a cantankerous old woman who had a distaste for all things Halloween. She never carved pumpkins, never draped her porch in spiderwebs, and never gave out candy to the eager trick-or-treaters.
As the legend goes, one Halloween night, the invisible spirit of Halloween, decided to teach her a lesson. When the clock struck midnight, the spirit swept in and turned everything in her house into a Halloween wonderland.
The next morning, Miss Marion woke to an explosion of orange and black decor; shocked, she ran out screaming, much to the amusement of the townsfolk. However, as her eyes fell on the horror-struck faces of the children, something shifted in her.
From then onwards, not only did she embrace the holiday spirit, but her house became the biggest attraction on every Halloween night. Yes, nothing shocked the townsfolk more than the sight of the formerly grumpy woman, now named the ‘Halloween Queen’, dishing out caramel apples with a smile. Legend or not, the turning of her heart remains the most haunting transformation of all!
