Once upon a time in a far-off land, there was a village decorated with pumpkins, scarecrows and spiderwebs. Tomorrow was Halloween and everyone’s heart beats were ticking faster, for they knew Harrison, the defiant pumpkin, would emerge.
Harrison was unlike any other pumpkin in the village. Every Halloween, he transformed from a humble field pumpkin into a lively, child-pleasing wonder, dancing, singing and cracking jokes!
On the prowling night, Harrison showed up as expected, shining under the moonlight. Children gathered, chuckling at his jokes, swaying to his tunes, and indeed, their Halloween was a delight!
The sun seeped out as the lovely night faded. Just before the children bid their goodbyes, Harrison cracked his final joke, “What’s a pumpkin’s job in Halloween? To keep the boo-count! Isn’t that gourd-gous?”
Boom! A flash of light… and Harrison transformed into a laughing, joke-spewing scarecrow. The children gasped! Then, they burst into giggles, echoing that Halloween surprise for years to come. Unquestionably, the hoot of the story was not the end, but the beginning of Harrison, the scarecrow’s tale!
