Title: The Haunted House on Maple Street: The Mirror’s Menace

Once upon a Halloween night, a mischievous group of kids embarked on a dare – to visit the creepy house at the end of Maple Street. The house, crumbling and abandoned, was reputed to be haunted. Ghost stories, strange sounds, and chilling shadows were just a few things the neighborhood kids swore they’d witnessed.

They creeped up the steps, hearts pounding. The creak of the door echoed ominously. Once inside, they saw a lone mirror, reflecting only the dim candlelight. Suddenly, amidst their quiet whispers and nervous laughter, they heard a voice. It came from the mirror!

A voice, old and furious, screamed, “OUT!” The kids ran terrified into the night, never to return to the house again. Their tale of the haunted house on Maple Street spread like wildfire throughout the town.

What the kids didn’t know, however, was the voice from the mirror wasn’t a spirit. It was Mr. Jenkins, the cantankerous old man from next door, who used a walkie-talkie and a hidden speaker to scare off prying eyes. After all, someone had to preserve the most excellent Halloween trick for future generations!
