As the orange October moon hung low in the sky, young, adventurous Tommy found himself standing before the rumored haunted mansion of Old Man Clarence. Holding a handful of toilet paper, a testament to the night’s shenanigans, he dared himself to venture a little further.
Pushing the rusty old gate, he tiptoed towards the mansion. The creaking floorboards echoed around him, but the lure of the unknown was too tempting to resist.
Zig-zagging through the cobwebbed corridors, he stumbled upon an old, dusty mirror. Behind his reflection, he saw a faint apparition of an old man, dressed in a striped suit. It winked at him, and left behind a rustling paper. It was a map of the mansion leading him to a hidden room.
Tommy, fueled by curiosity, followed the map which led him into a secret room filled with countless of candies! His eyes widened at the sight of the sugar-filled treasure. Just then, a note fluttered down: “Dear Halloween Tricksters, Forgive this old man’s weird sense of humor. Happy Halloween!”
And so, for every Halloween ever since, Tommy was the first to knock on the door of the haunted mansion, only to be greeted by the twinkling eyes of Old Man Clarence!
