One October night, in Sleepy Hollow town, lived a man named Abner. Known for his gargantuan imagination, he decided to throw the grandest Halloween party in town. He found the perfect setting for his shindig – the notoriously eerie, long-abandoned Holton mansion.
Word spread, and soon, it was all the town could talk about. On Halloween night, costumed guests gathered at the mansion, the eerie music echoing through the hallways. The party was in full swing!
But then, amid all the merriment, a hush fell over the crowd when they saw it–a ghostly figure, semi-transparent, at the top of the staircase. It was Lady Holton, the mansion’s original occupant!
The guests screamed, abandoning their drinks and running out into the night, followed by the slightly tipsy Abner, who insisted it was just a trick of light.
Back inside, the ghost of Lady Holton dissolved into gusts of ethereal laughter. She glanced at the portrait on the wall, where her younger self held a vintage ProjectoScope. Her beloved Halloween Magic Lantern show was a success yet again. “Oh, Abner,” she chuckled, “It was never the light, dear boy, it was always the dark!”
