Every Halloween, Jack the jester loved to make a grand entrance into the center of the village. The villagers would gather, waiting to hear his comically unnerving Halloween tales. This year, Jack narrated the story of the ancient Crumplehorn mansion that towered gloomily at the outskirts of their village.
It was said that every Halloween, the spirit of old Mr. Crumplehorn would enlist the unruly ghost of his loyal spaniel, Spooks, to go on a bone-hunting spree around the village. And whoever had the misfortune of bumping into Spooks got jinxed with an eternity of eerie sneezes and hiccups!
The villagers held their breaths as Jack mimicked Old Crumplehorn and his spectral sidekick, guffawing and sneezing in perfect timing. After the suspenseful climax of his tale, Jack wrapped up with his signature jest, bowing majestically to the audience.
That night, as everyone was going to bed, they heard a strange noise echoing in the wind. It sounded exactly like the guffaw of the old Mr. Crumplehorn, accompanied by a distinct symphony of sneezes and hiccups.
A wave of laughter rumbled through the village. It turned out Jack hadn’t just brought a ghost story to life – he’d sneaked into their homes, never missing the chance to ‘bless’ them with a fresh bout of Halloween hiccups!
