Once upon a time, a plucky Ant named Antonio lived in a cursed apple orchard. Every Halloween, legend has it, the spirit of Old Granny Smith haunts the orchard, turning greedy bugs into petrified stone!
Antonio didn’t believe in ghosts. “No spirit can scare me!” He declared. Fearlessly, he decided to pluck an apple on Halloween night, to prove the legend wrong.
As he reached the juiciest apple, the air turned icy cold. Suddenly, the ethereal apparition of Granny Smith appeared! Her eyes, two glowing worms, fixated on Antonio. Petrified, he witnessed the ghost waving her twisted twig-fingers, casting a spell. Antonio shivered as a chilly breeze whispered, “Dare not take more than you need.”
“Easy for you to say, you don’t need to eat!” Antonio retorted, his courage bouncing back. He hatched a cheeky plan. “If I take half an apple now, and half later, that wouldn’t be being greedy, would it?” The cunning ant pondered aloud.
To his shock, Granny Smith’s apparition erupted into hearty laughter. Suitably impressed with his wit, she released him from the curse. Antonio learned that bravery and a sense of humor could overcome even the scariest ghosts!
