Title: “The Haunting of Scarleton Mansion: A Key to Eternal Employment”

On a gnarled hill, draped in the eerie glow of the peony moon, sat Scarleton Mansion. It was Halloween night, and a lone boy named Henry dared to visit this rumored haunted place.

“A mere stroll through won’t hurt,” he muttered, except the once grand wooden door creaked open all on its own. Chills ran up Henry’s spine, but he still marched in.

The twisted shadows danced on the walls, and a dank chill filled the air. Suddenly, an ancient portrait fell, revealing an ornate key behind it. Without a second thought, Henry pocketed the key.

Roaming deeper into the mansion, he spotted a locked door. Heart pounding, he unlocked it and gasped. Throngs of ghosts swirled within. Their ghoulish faces turned towards him.

“Free at last,” the phantoms cheered and whisked away into the moonlit night.

Feeling rather pleased with himself, Henry was about to exit when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He spun around and found himself face-to-face with the mansion’s butler. “Thank you, sir.” the butler said. “You’ve unlocked the door so I don’t have to. The owners hate it when their party guests overstay. You’re hired!”

And just like that, Henry gained the most ‘spirited’ job ever—for eternity!
