Once upon a time, in a small town bathed in the glow of autumnal orange, existed a spooky, dilapidated mansion – ‘The Hallow House’. Every Halloween, kids dared each other to knock on its haunted door, echoing a legend of a man who turned into a pumpkin at midnight.
That year, a brave boy named Toby decided to step up. With dusk settling in and the Halloween moon on the crease, Toby approached the creaky gates of Hallow House, trembling but resolute. Knocking on the door, he clutched his trick-or-treat bag close.
As the clock struck midnight, a flash of orange light engulfed the spooky abode. When Toby opened his eyes, there stood a man morphing into a large, ripe pumpkin right before his eyes, just like the legend prophesied. But instead of terror, the man had a forlorn expression. He handed Toby a note before the transformation completed.
On his way back, Toby opened the note which read, ‘Free me from the spell by carving a face on me’. So, Toby did. To everyone’s surprise, instead of the man, a cascade of the tastiest Halloween candies ever known spilled out. From that day forth, the town had its most happening candy haunt; legend has it, it was the ‘Pumpkin Man’s’ way to make folks laugh instead of trembling in fear.
