Once upon a spooky Halloween night, there were three best friends, Sam, Billy and Tina. Their love for adventure led them towards the towering haunted house that stood ominously at the end of the town.
As they entered, the heavy wooden door creaked behind them. Shaking like autumn leaves in a whirlwind, they climbed the winding staircase, their only light source was the full moon outside the cobweb-infested window.
Suddenly, they heard a terrifying growl from the shadows. A ghostly figure charged towards them. They screamed and turned to run, but they tripped over a dusty, antique rug. Expecting the worst, they scrunched their eyes shut.
But instead of a ghostly possession, they heard a warm, familiar laugh. Slowly opening their eyes, they found their friend Mike, armed with a furiously wagging tail dog, dressed up in a ghostly attire. The ‘growl’ had been the dog’s bark, distorted by the echo of the vacant house.
The Halloween night had turned from a scary expedition into a friendly prank. Laughing off their fright, they all left the haunted house. Their Halloween adventure was indeed haunted, not by spirits, but by an old friend trying to stage a memorable break from the routine!
