Once upon a time, in the spooky town of Creepsville, notorious for its annual Halloween capers. Mrs. Haggardly, an elderly widow, lived alone in an antiquated manor known for its eerie spectacles.
On this particular Halloween night, she set out with her old broom to chase away the mischievous trick-or-treaters. But as she turned to go home, she noticed a queer glimmering light seeping from the manor’s attic.
Fighting her rising fear, Mrs. Haggardly climbed the creaky steps, only to find a mystical pumpkin, glowing of its own accord and whispering in an uncanny voice.
“Free me, and I shall grant you three wishes,” beseech the trapped pumpkin spirit. Intrigued, yet skeptical, Mrs. Haggardly set the spirit free, and true to its promise, it granted her three wishes.
With her first two, she wished for companionship and a spry youth. Her final wish though, caused the town’s huge uproar; she wished for an everlasting Halloween!
Since then, Ms. Haggardly, no more a fear-inducing figure but a charming young lady, happily celebrates Halloween every day, with the entire town joining in the endless merriment. And Creepsville, from a pretty fearsome name, became the town where it’s Halloween, every day!
