On Halloween night, in the sleepy, lantern-lit town of Salem, little Tommy wove through foggy alleys, clutching his bucket of candies close. Each porch light he approached brought new monsters: growling werewolves, smiling vampires, and cackling witches.
His final stop was the spooky mansion at the town’s edge, infamous for its ghostly hauntings. Plucking up courage, he trudged up the rickety steps and rapped on the giant creaky door. “Trick or Treat!”, he chirped hesitantly. The door swung open to reveal an old, grinning man dressed in a simple suit. He handed Tommy a single silver-wrapped candy, “The sweetest candy in Salem, straight from my secret kitchen.”
Unable to resist the promise of such a treat, Tommy tore off the wrapper and popped the candy in his mouth. At that moment, he felt his feet lift off the ground, and with wide eyes, he watched as Salem shrank beneath him.u
In the blink of an eye, Tommy found himself back on solid ground. Looking down, he saw a bucket full of candies and a trail of tiny ghosts coming from it. The old man had turned him into a real ghost, the hero of his very own Halloween tale!
Every Halloween, when you see a tiny ghost floating along, don’t scream. Just shout out, “Happy Halloween, Tommy!”. Who knows, he might just drop some magic candy into your bucket.
