Title: The Haunting of Boo!levard Heights

On a crisp, moonlit Halloween night, lonely Mrs. Paddington decided to bake her famous pumpkin cookies. As she mixed the ingredients, she noticed that the last egg in the carton had a strange, almost fluorescent pinkish glow. Shrugging off her discomfort, she thought, “If it’s in the carton, it’s fresh enough.”

After an hour, the delicious smell of fresh cookies wafted through the air. Mrs. Paddington put on her oven mitts and eagerly opened the oven, only to find that instead of the sweet cookies she was expecting, there was a still-hatching, pumpkin-orange egg sitting on the baking tray!

The egg began to crack open, revealing not a cookie-eating monster, but a dapper duck, wearing a suit and sombrero, carrying a tiny briefcase. Mrs. Paddington almost fell off her feet, staring at the sight. The duck bowed politely and said, “Happy Halloween! I’m your new roommate. It’s in the lease agreement.” It opened its briefcase revealing a tiny signed lease. Mrs. Paddington fainted on the spot, falling onto her cat, Whiskers.

Ever since that night, every Halloween, Mrs. Paddington found a new animal roommate. And guess what? That’s why they call it “Boo!”levard Heights.
